The Bradley Effect

I just heard about this. In this election we can see just how significant the Bradley Effect is. It is when a black candidate runs against a white candidate and the black candidate is way ahead in the polls. And then the white candidate wins. This will be an exciting election. May the best candidates win.

There are different theories about this like the white person not wanting to say that he is not voting for the black person. It could be that many of the black voters do not go and vote that day. Maybe they figure there is no need. In fact that would be a motivation for the people saying that they are voting for the black candidate when they are not.

After seeing Governor Sarah Palin some more, I am convinced that she has her heart in the right place and cares about the people, like a mother cares about her child. That is what is missing in politics. Also she does not want to do wrong since it would not be pleasing to God.

Also there is Joe the plumber and the commercials of people saying that they are Joe the plumber. Palin would be good at cutting government wasteful spending since she lowered her own income as mayor, which reduces her state's government spending.

Here is a great site to see the very latest polls in all the states, with a map of the country. One day it was dead even in Florida and then a day later, Obama was ahead by 2%. Electoral Votes Map

The Right to Bear Arms
Robbing a Gun Store

Governor Sarah Palin lauded the U.S. Supreme Court's landmark decision upholding the right of Americans to own guns for self-defense, hunting and other purposes. The high court's 5-4 ruling in District of Columbia vs. Heller affirmed gun rights by striking down the District's 32-year-old ban on handguns.

I saw this story on the internet. After stepping around a marked police patrol car parked at the front door, a man walked into H&J Leather & Firearms intent on robbing the store. The shop was full of customers and a uniformed officer was standing at the counter. Upon seeing the officer, the would-be robber announced a hold-up, and fired a few wild shots from a target pistol.

The officer and a clerk promptly returned fire, and several customers also drew their guns and fired. The robber was pronounced dead at the scene by Paramedics. Crime scene investigators located 47 expended cartridge cases in the shop. The subsequent autopsy revealed 23 gunshot wounds. Ballistics identified rounds from 7 different weapons. No one else was hurt.

Sarah Palin in V.P. Debate

At the beginning of the debate, Palin asked Biden if she could call him Joe. She asked this since 'Joe' rhymes with 'so'. Then she was able to use this great line a few times, "Say it ain't so, Joe."

It looks like I am wrong. I did a search for this line and it is famous and from 1919. Newspapers said that some boys said this to "Shoeless" Joe Jackson. He was a baseball player and was testifying in court about his team throwing the world series.

Racism is considered to be very bad in America. Sexism is considered to be OK since it was practiced in biblical times. Even now a woman cannot become a priest or an Orthodox Jewish rabbi. Black men got the right to vote before women did.
