    2. Rohrbacher, Maria Susanna (*1702 Maikammer, Pfalz +1714 Maikammer, Pfalz)

Notes:
Teacher in Maikammer, responsible for the children of Maikammer and Alsterweiler. He came to Maikammer about 1653 from Haspelschiedt, Grafschaft Bitsch (Lothringen). The school was next to the town hall on Lindenplatz.

The income was set at 1 Gulden per student, but not every child attended school and not every student paid. There were 150-200 students before the Thirty Years' War. In addition, the teacher received free housing and a garden, was not required to perform other feudal duties, and the children brought firewood between All Saints' Day and St. George's Day.

On 26 November 1675 he wrote to the prince-bishop's government in Speyer that the residents didn't keep their children in school, in Christian teaching, or in fear of God. In the school audit (Visitationsprotokoll) of 1701 he was said to be a teacher who instigates mischief, who is a scandal to the whole community, and who because of his depravity keeps the youth away from the school. He served as teacher until about 1703.
