| General Question |

Hey, Erich... since master crafting an item causes you to lose experience and
even levels, in the event of losing a level, does the player get to choose what
class he or she loses his or her level in? |

Aaron...On page 53 of the Star Wars: RPG Revised Core Rulebook under
'Mastercrafter,' the second paragraph says: "If the expenditure of these XP
would drop the character's total to below the minimum needed for his or her
current level, then the XP cannot be paid (and the mastercraft work cannot be
begun) until the character gains enough additional XP to remain at his current
level after the expenditure is made." Therefore, it is not possible to
lose a level. |

Hey Erich...I was reading up on the Ace Mechanic Prestige package & saw
the mechanical specialization. In it, you could choose an aspect of repair
(electronic devices, vehicles, starships, etc.). My question is this...if you
choose starships, is that repairing ANY component on a starship? Or if the
particular item on a starship happens to be an electronic device, do you need
the electronic device specialization to benefit?...Thanks! |

Yes, Matt...If you selected Starships as the focus of the Ace Mechanics 'Mechanical
Specialization' ability, it would apply to all systems aboard a starship. Remember, upgrading
or modifying a starship system requires you to have the corresponding Craft skill, repairing
an existing system doesn't. |
