We welcome you to treat your feet (click here for our schedule) to the old-fashioned WOOD floor of our home, the Upper Susquehanna Cultural Center (The former Presbyterian Church) on North Main St.(St. Route 28) in Milford, NY.
Upper Susquehanna Contradance now holds contradances from 7:00-10:00 PM on the FOURTH Saturday of each month.
Milford is located midway between Cooperstown and I-88 Exit #17 on State Route 28. The Cultural Center is owned by the Greater Milford Historical Society, and is next door to the Sayre House and across the street from Wilber Bank, just north of THE traffic light. Everyone is welcome at our dances; you don't need any dancing experience, nor do you have
to bring your own partner. Just dress comfortably and wear clean soft-soled shoes to protect the floor. Each dance
features live music and a caller who teaches the dance figures and steps before the music starts. For those
among you who are concerned about cardiovascular fitness, contradancing provides a
carefully balanced combination of vigorous exercise and flirting which should keep your heart
rate up all evening. But really, what is contradance? Try Gary Shapiro's page, What is Contra Dance?
