Creating a Desktop Slideshow.
You must have a monitor with a resolution of 1024 x 768 or greater - preferably 1280x960, 1280x1024 or 1600x1200.
The example below is at 1280x1024.
The first step is to RIGHT click on the desktop and you will see this menu.
Now select Properties.

Select the Desktop tab, choose None for Background and then choose a color.
I will choose black.

Now select the Web tab.

Next click New.

Now copy and paste an address from the choices below into the Location box.
The Slideshows have either a grey or a black background.
Since I chose black for my Desktop color I will pick a Slideshow with a black background .

Now click OK.

OK again.

If you have a firewall allow Microsoft Synchronization Manager to go online.

Now click OK.

OK again.

This is how the Slideshow will first appear.

Grab the grey bar at the top and move it up and to the left.

Now resize the viewer by dragging one of the corners.
I'm dragging the lower right corner down and to the right.
Do this until the slide bars (bottom and right) just disappear.

Now once you have the viewer placed where you want it you will want to lock it in place.
Go to an area on the desktop that isn't occupied by an icon, task bar or the Slideshow and RIGHT click like you did at the start.
Select the Desktop tab and then click Customize Desktop.
Then select the Web tab and check Lock desktop items.
Now click OK and OK to close out the menus and you're done.

Your Desktop Slideshow will start whenever you go online.
