I'm not really sure where to start with this. Basically I took the hardware that came with the Maier Mfg. and placed it in a very nice miscellaneous parts box for future use. I ordered a full set of replacement hardware for a Plexistar II / Airhawk National Cycle Shield from Chaparral (#355-3056 or Bag 00 at $40.99 - Maier 500 #05-500 $117). I used the telescoping upright supports and the L-Brackets - TBolts and Clamps out of the NC Hardware. Hacksawed off the ball ends of the steel upright supports and used the magic Dr. Bostic (my neighbor Dan) clamps to attach the fairing to the L and end of telescoping supports. Fussed with the whole stupid thing until I liked the alignment. Done.

Magic Dr. Bostic clamp is a simple pinch clamp like the ones used on
Tracy hardware, 3/4" round with a 5/16" (+ a couple .001 clearance) with
the base turned down about an 1/8" to accept a collar. The collar when
installed invades the 5/16" hole by 1/16". The collar end is also drilled
and tapped. Slide rod in hole (L bracket or upright support), I put
stainless washers on the inside and outside of the Maier so as not to cut
into the plastic, thread in favorite fastener (I used cap screws), draw
tight and the collar compresses on the rod and is very secure.
Install NC Shield first to get mounting points set then work between to find a happy median. The Maier is less forgiving than the shield so make sure you are able to achieve adjustment out of the NC Shield to your liking before drilling the Maier.
You might want to checkout the Rifle Night Flight Fairing also. Very Similar and they will paint it to match the bike. Rifle Night Flight
