How to Perform a Full Backup of Your Primary C: Drive using PowerQuest Drive Image 7
Before doing anything, you must create a folder on the drive that you intend to place your backup in. The following instructions are for those who do not know how to create a folder:
Using Windows Explorer locate your (D:) drive (or any other drive that is connected to IDE 1 or IDE 2 on your motherboard) and Highlight the (D:) drive by double left clicking on it. With the drive Highlighted

Click File on the Windows Explorer Taskbar and select: New from the drop down menu, then highlight Folder out to the right of New: then click on the Folder out to the right of the word New

That will create a New Folder over in the right Windows Explorer window. (shown below)

When you see the highlighted words New Folder, click on the words and then type in any name that you desire for the folder to be called. In the example below, I have called the folder: Full Backup of Kathleen's C Drive 12-24-2005 however; you can give it any name that you like. After naming the folder left click once on the name to set the name.

Once you have created a folder to hold your backup Launch PowerQuest Drive Image 7.0 and you will likely see the screen below. If you do see that screen, click on Advanced View under the word Views.

Clicking on Advanced View will give you the screen shown below.

On that screen click Back Up Drive (under Backup Tasks) and you will see the following screen:

On that screen click the Next >> button which will take you to the next screen:

On that screen click on and highlight your {C:\} drive, then click the Next >> button. Which will give you the following screen:

On that screen click the Browse button which will give you the Browse For Folder window shown below:

In that window locate the drive that you have placed the folder that will contain the backup in and double left click on it to cause all the sub-folders to be displayed below that drive. In the picture below, I have double left clicked on my Primary Slave 300GB Drive (D:) drive.

In the Browse For Folder window below, I have single left clicked on the folder called: Full Backup of Kathleen's C Drive 12-24-2005

After highlighting that folder click the OK button and the screen below will appear:

On that screen all you need to do is click the Next >> button and the following screen will appear:

On that screen click on the box to the Left of the words: Verify backup image after creation which will place a check mark in that box. After doing that click the Next >> button and the following screen will appear:

On the screen above, click the Next >> button and the following screen will appear:

Very soon after the screen above appears, the screen below will appear:

When the Backup Image has been created you will see a completed screen. At that point, close Drive Image 7 and do what ever you like.
