I started this site because I wanted to have a personal website. I wanted to start a website
because I wanted to learn how to build one. So here it is.
The reason I chose this topic, quite frankly is because this is how I spend too much of
my free time. Handicapping. I have been doing it for some 26 years now. I estimate that Lifetime, with regards to handicapping,
I am a net loser. Not by much however, as I had a very substantial hit two years ago and have been doing good stuff ever since.
Up to that time I was developing an approach which has been working quite well, but takes a lot of my time. As a result I
have been ducking friends and family and some responsibility to pursue my dream... to hit a six figure Pick Six. Nobody knows
about my big hit except for my wife and my best handicapping buddy. It is my secret because I hide my handicapping passion
from everyone else.
Why am I hiding... Why am I in the closet with this. I am a grown up and am professionally successful
in the real world. I have a real job and all the other things one wishes to achieve to recognize the "American Dream". However,
I don't want to be associated with gambling by my peers. Whether I am successful at it or not, I don't want to be assessed
with my personal accomplishments or failures in life and have them at all related to Horse Racing or Gambling in general.
As far as I am concerned... Life is a gamble. You could lose money in the stock market, lose your job, get hit by a car...
well you get the point.
So here I am with this passion that I love but I have nobody to share it with except my handicapping
buddy and my wife, who by the way couldn't care less. She supports me but would rather have me doing house chores and the
like. Anyway, I am going to conduct a little experiment here which is manifested from my trials and tribulations as a handicapper.
Turn the page and join me on my journey.
