Training

At the present time, there are no training classes scheduled.  If there is an increased demand for training and we can get a sufficient number of instructors, we will schedule training classes accordingly.

For those who are interested in self-paced study, there are a number of resources available to assist you.  We recommend that you visit the ARRL website (www.arrl.org) for additional information.

It has been our experience that the ARRL publication "Now You're Talking" is an invaluable tool for those who wish to study for their first license exam on their own.  This book is available from the ARRL and can be ordered directly from the ARRL website.  You may also be able to find a copy of it in any Radio Shack store as a local alternative.

As of February 23, 2007, passing a morse code test is no longer a required element for obtaining an amateur radio license.  Morse code testing has been eliminated from the testing regime.
