Wouldn't it be nice to measure The Quill driven under CNC (or any other time) with an inexpensive reference measuring
device to assure that you are in position and can rely on the day to day use of your Quill Axis Drive... Yes it would!
So use the very inexpensive Digital caliper scales that are out there for the positioning of your Quill axis....I have
a plan that is easy to produce, it will allow you to keep a constant check on your Quill axis location, it will allow
full travel, and not break the bank!!!
The Digital scales I recommend are the large display types that are available for around $15.00 U.S.
