Come Join Us...For Worship - Each Sunday at 10:15 A.M. we gather to worship our LORD. At Faith you will find us singing songs of worship, both from the traditional hymns and the contemporary praise songs. You will find us reading God's Word, as one of our men leads in scripture reading. You will also find some individuals playing or singing special music unto the Lord. "Last but not least," you will hear a relevant and challenging message presented from the Bible.
When you arrive, children from ages three through third grade gather downstairs for Junior Church. This exciting children's program is designed to help children learn the Bible through a service that meets their level of learning. As with every service, a nursery for infants and toddlers is provided.
For Education - 2 Timothy 2:15 says, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." It is our goal that we would provide the ministries necessary for learning Biblical principles.
Through the year we have special meetings, conferences, seminars, retreats, discipleships, and mens & ladies Bible studies which help us toward this process. Many special speakers come and fill the pulpit to share their burden and ministry, and to inspire us to spiritual growth
Sunday School is one of our regular ministries that has an emphasis on education. However, this is the school that is cool, with visuals and handouts geared to each age level.
Each Wednesday during the school year, the adults participate in a Small Group Bible study. This is a relaxing time of sharing and explanation. It is "come as you are," with snacks and coffee provided.
For Edification - Hopefully, you will find a friendly welcome here at Faith and a church who cares about its neighbors. Often times, Christians need help and someone to turn to for guidance in making good decisions. We invite you to call the Pastor for counseling and helpful advice as he is here to shepherd us. Pastor Jack has been in the ministry since 1991, and has served in addiction recovery, family and personal counseling.
For Youth Ministries
AWANA
Each Wednesday night during the school year, many of our members are involved in using their gifts with children in our AWANA program. Children (3 years old - 6th grades) get another opportunity to learn principles of the Bible. They do it through team competition, handbook time, and council time.
(AWANA is Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed!)FAITH TEENS
Year round there is a weekly bible study for students in Jr. High, and a study for those in Sr. High as well. In addition, there are regular youth activities each month, a yearly missions trip, and other exciting opportunities to serve and grow. More information can be found by visiting the faith teens website at www.faithteens.org.
For Evangelism - The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:18, "And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation." We believe it is our responsibility to reach out to a world who needs a relationship with God. Many people are in a lost spiritual condition. They are in need of a Christian sharing how to be 100% sure they are going to heaven when they die. Are you 100% sure you would go to Heaven if you died today?
Are you 100% sure you would go to Heaven if you died today?
Are you sure you are going to Heaven when you die?
If not, take a few minutes to read over the scriptural verses below.Getting into Heaven God's Way:
The Bible Says...
1. We are all sinners:
Jeremiah 17:9 "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?"Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
2. Sin earns the second death:
Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death..."Revelations 21:8 "...and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."
3. Jesus died in our place:
Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."1 Peter 2:24 "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed."
4. We must believe on Jesus:
Romans 10:9-10 "That if thou shalt confess with they mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, though shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
It is really quite simple, and that is the way God wants it! He wants us first to admit that we are sinners, and we all fall short of his glory. He then wants us to know that he sent his only son to DIE in OUR PLACE, so that we could be forgiven from our sins! What Father would send his own son to his death?
Our God did that for us! He wants us to know that he loves us very much, and he wants us to join him in Heaven when we die, but there is only one way to do that. We must believe that God's only son, Jesus Christ, died in our place, so that we might be forgiven from our sins. If we do that, and we believe on Jesus, confessing to God our sins, he will take us into Heaven with him when we die, and we will therefore NOT die, but have everlasting life with him!
Who doesn't want that? Christianity is all about choices. You have the choice right now, to accept the One, True God, and embrace him, or not to. It is really as easy as that. God will save those of his children who have believed in him, and trusted him with their faith.
If you have read through this, and don't understand it, or would like to discuss it, or have come to the realization that you DO need Jesus in your life, and you have taken the step of believing in him, please feel free to e-mail or Pastor Jack Tomkinson with any questions! He would be more than happy to respond.
