Faith Evangelical Free Church in Mountain Lake Park, Maryland has called Jeff Kroll as its new pastor. Jeff has a Master of Divinity degree from Columbia International University in Columbia, South Carolina. He holds a Bachelors Degree from Penn State in Media Communications.
Jeff and his wife, Vivian, will be relocating to Oakland from their home in Worthington, MN, where he has been serving as pastor of Grace Community Church for the past eight and a half years.
Prior to his pastorate in Minnesota, Jeff was a missionary in Bolivia with SIM. Initially, he went there to develop media programs for SIM. While at the seminary, he began to teach Pneumatology (the doctrine of the Holy Spirit), Ecclesiology (the doctrine of the Church), and Missiology (the doctrine of missions in the church). He served the Lord for 14 years in Cochabamba, Bolivia.
Jeff met his wife, Vivian, while in training for the mission field. They have been married for 25 years and have three sons, Richard (23), Timothy (20) and Benjamin (18).
Jeff and Vivian are both fluent in Spanish and Jeff is comfortable teaching and preaching in Spanish. Vivian works as a translator in Worthington, Minnesota and is hoping to use her language skills here in Garrett County.
They are in the process of selling their home and will relocate to Oakland in May. His first Sunday in the pulpit will be on June 7, 2009.
