* Ambassador’s Badge: To obtain a badge, each dancer is to attend one dance at the following nine Tualatin Valley Council (TVC) clubs and two TVC sponsored dances, within one year from the starting date. Dancers are limited to one dance per night. An attendance sheet, located in the TVC Directory, is to be dated and signed by the caller or presiding officer of the club visited at a Regular Club Dance or Jamboree. Your completed sheet is to be given to your club delegate, who turns it over to TVC for verification and awarding.
The nine clubs are: (1) Coast Swingers (Garibaldi), (2) Eager Beavers (Beaverton), (3) Fireballs (Scappoose), (4) Hoedowners (Aloha), (5) R Square D (Longview, WA), (6) Sunset Promenaders (Hillsboro), (7) Toe Draggers (Beaverton), (8) Tri Squares (Tigard), (9) Valley Squares (Aloha). Eager Beavers is a Plus club, but does offer a mainstream dance spring and fall on a Sunday afternoon at the IOOF Hall in Hillsboro. Their April (Anniversary) and October (Harvest) dances are held on Sundays and are mainstream. (Lots of good food!!) The Mix ‘N Mingle is a Plus only club. They offer to call one mainstream tip at the beginning of the dance upon request for mainstream dancers, and they offer to do this at no cost. Thank you, Mix ‘N Mingle. Dancing with this club is no longer a requirement to obtain the Ambassador Badge. |
