News From Mr. Harris' Class

November 2008

Monday November 10th starts a new marking period.

Students have been identifying their Science Fair Topics and this year's Senior Class looks like one of the best groups ever. We will be able to incorporate a great many statistical procedures in the projects so I have high hopes will will again send representatives to the State Fair. Go HCA!

The Hardware update to the computer lab in room 108 is complete.Thanks to Balfour Academy for letting us use it and Northeastern University for donating the Pentium IV's. Students now have access to the NU Net and the thousands of dollars worth of licensed software including SPSS, Mathmatica, Geometer's Sketchpad and the latest version of Office 2007. Students need to remember to save their Office documents in the earlier version of Office if they want to print in one of the other HCA labs. When emailing your assignments to me, this is not necessary as I have purchased the latest version of Office for my computer.
