This special edition Marlin Model 1895SS .45-70 was specially created to commemorate the Pennsylvania elk herd.  The Pennsylvania Elk was reintroduced to the area in 1913 and presently there are approximately 600 of these beautiful animals roaming the Pennsylvania country side.

The metal is hand etched in 24-karat gold overlay with scenes drawn from photographs by a local photographer, Terry Younkin.  One of his best works, honored on this special edition rifle, is Crazy Legs, a highly recognizable and unique elk from the herd.

Terry's photographs were also used on the American Walnut butt stock and grips.  These intricately laser engraved scenes commemorate these majestic animals on the premier grade wood.

The Tribute to the Pennsylvania Wapiti is a fully functional Marlin rifle.  Investment Arms, Inc. had chosen to limit this edition to a minimal number of rifles to ensure the greatest investment value.  There were a total of 52 special edition rifles: a proof rifle, 50 numbered edition rifles and a Hunt of a Lifetime rifle which was donated to the foundation by Investment Arms, Inc.
