WELCOME!

I'm Pastor John H. Brown. I've been pastor here for 28 years. This is proof that our church is patient, accepting, and longsuffering! If they can put up with me, they surely will accept and welcome you. My previous careers include real estate and being director of a mental health center.

My ministry is challenged and hopefully shaped by the following deep convictions:

1. The richest blessing of life is to experience the incredible love of God for us which we especially experience in fellowship with Christ our Lord.

2. Faith in Christ is so broad and all inclusive that all of human existence must fit under the umbrella of this faith. I am always driven to try to relate the meaning of Christ to all of reality.

3. Our faith is in the goodness of God as revealed in Christ our Lord. I spend 90% of my preaching and teaching talking about the goodness of God, and 10% talking about human failure.

4. The Church is the Body of Christ in the world and is to try to reflect in concrete actions the love, mercy, compassion, and kindness of Christ to all persons in need.

5. Each human being has infinite worth in God's love, and great potential because each is made in God's image. I do everything I can to help individuals develop their great and unique potential.
