About Bob Fowler...

I'm Bob Fowler. My wife Liz and I live in Middletown, New Jersey. By day, I'm staff photographer/electronic graphics guru, and video teleconferencing technician for a U.S. Army agency at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey. By night... well, let's just say Liz claims to be a computer widow. I wonder why she says that?

I grew up on Long Island and in northeastern Massachusetts. I graduated high school from New York Military Academy in Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY, then studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston. At Berklee, I started out as a clarinet performance major and later changed to arranging and composition. I entered the U.S. Army and played clarinet and saxophone on active duty in various Army Bands for about 10 years followed by a few years as a reservist.

I've been involved with photography since... well, I won't get into a lesson in ancient history. Let's just say I've been working in the field (in one form or another) for well over 25 years. During that time, I did a 10 year stint in video tape production. My years in video were enough to convince me that I will NEVER do wedding videos - not ever - don't even ask me...

I'll be posting a lot of my philosophies about making images in the photography section of this website. My photography business site is rcfowlerphoto.com.
