This is some of Lycoming county, PA Dispatches that are repeaters so you will hear all the units in the field. If you don't hear anything right away, no one is transmitting, or my feed is temporarily down. There is about an 8 second audio delay if you compare to the scanner (if your local and listening).

Click on this and you should be able to listen to Lycoming county's Fire 1, County Police 1, Williamsport Police Dispatch, County EMA, (County wide Currently Off the Air)

Thanks to Mike Weber for the real work. There is about an 8 second audio delay between going through the internet etc.. That means if you have a scanner you will hear the action 8 seconds before you will on here.

Visit Incident Broadcast if you cannot connect as there are more feeds to listen to and with having the Lycoming County Scanner Feed on there it allows a lot more users to connect as it runs through their server. After you view the demo page or click skip to bypass it it will take you to their regular page and on the left colum you will see "How to Connect" Right below that you see TeamSpeak, click this and follow the directions.. It does require a download as you will see for the very 1st thing. Its pretty easy really.. Need help? just let me know..

ALSO NOTE.. since its at my house on my computer, there may be times when I want to run other programs or if I reboot (which I do regularly) or for power outages or any such other reason. I will try to keep it on all the time but when I run some of my other programs having to do with audio ie: chats or Echolink which is a ham radio program to talk to other hams round the world it may temporarily be down.. This should do it.. Any Questions etc just let me know.. If I cant find the answer Ill check with Mike.. Enjoy!

If you get a error connecting, please try again in a few minutes or later.

Radio Coverage Map of Lycoming County Fire 1

I created this map using software called Radio Mobile. I used publicly available information from the FCC license to generate the map. I believe it is accurate given the information that I found. The map calculates the coverage of a handheld portable radio receiving. If anyone has information about the tower sites, please contact me. I would be very interested.

Click here for the coverage map.

How this works...

I am using a Radio Shack Realistic Pro-2048, 200 channel scanner for the receiver located on Cemetery St in Williamsport. The audio goes from from the Scanner to the sound card on my computer, via a patch cable, then it is broadcast using Edcast, which sends the data out to my local network router, then to my DSL modem, then through the internet to the incidentbroadcast.com server, then to your computer.

Why?

For fun, and because, its back by Popular Demand!!!

About myself...

I live in the West End of Williamsport, PA. I am a amateur (ham) radio operator licensed since 1993. My call sign is KB3AWQ. for more info see http://www.KB3AWQ.com
