Dear Friends,

Are you ready to shift your life? Are you willing to explore those aspects of yourself that keep you stuck in long-standing patterns? If so, read on and consider giving yourself the gift of using Voice Dialogue as part of your transformational journey. And, if you are already using Voice Dialogue, come back and take the next step forward to deepen your work.

Over nine weeks (one Saturday and nine weekly classes), we will discover and explore the richness of our primary selves. The primary selves are those inner "voices" or "energies" that operate in our lives to define who we are. They are in charge of running our daily lives. This is so whether we are aware of them or not. These selves protect our vulnerability. They are devoted to our safety, success, and protection in the world. These selves are often at the helm of our core patterns. Some examples of primary selves include the pusher, the pleaser, the caretaker, the rational mind, the inner critic, the perfectionist, the rebel, the responsible self, and the inner patriarch (very important in women), to name a few. Since each person's primary self system is unique, we look to discover which selves are running your life.

By working with the primary selves first and creating a conscious relationship with them through individual Voice Dialogue sessions, we take a critical step in developing (or for those who have been previously facilitated "enhancing") our "inner chairman of the board" or "inner orchestra conductor" which is that level of consciousness that can manage our inner energies and can choose which selves operate in our daily lives. Only after working with the primary selves can we safely and easily move to working with the disowned and vulnerable selves.

These primary selves have significant power in our lives, much more than most of us consciously recognize. These primary selves unconsciously take over our lives, including our relationships. Our goal is to identify them, understand their contribution to our lives and develop a conscious relationship with them so that we are in charge of how we show up in our lives.

The Voice Dialogue Method was developed by Drs. Hal and Sidra Stone over the past 25 years to empower individuals to consciously choose their own actions and how they want to be in their lives. Through Voice Dialogue, we develop the capacity to manage and honor relationships with others and relationships with ourselves. We learn to understand and celebrate differences so that we can have acceptance of ourselves and others and live the life we want to have.

Those of you who have either experienced this work or seen it demonstrated know that it is a simple, gentle, yet powerful tool that allows us to work directly with the selves so we can develop a conscious relationship with them.. By developing such a relationship with the key primary selves, we begin to develop choice in our lives and we become available to other inner resource that has often been repressed, or perhaps is merely unconscious to us. We begin to have balance. We have more inner energies available to use. We become less judgmental. The quality of our decisionmaking changes.

Participants will have individual Voice Dialogue sessions each week. Over the nine week program, you will work with different facilitators, each of whom will bring different experience and a different perspective to your individual process. In addition, we work each week as a group, including teaching sessions, learning from each other's sharing and exploring through buddy or group exercises.

This program will begin with an all-day Saturday class on May 3rd and then follow with nine Tuesday evening weekly classes. (Dates listed below) The Saturday class begins at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 6 p.m. The Tuesday evening classes begin at 7 p.m. and end at 10:30 p.m. The weekly classes will be held at the Comfort Inn, on Rte. 50 in Falls Church, Va. The Saturday class will be held at the Quality Inn in Arlington, Va. at Courthouse. The tuition for the program is $695. Payment plans are available. The deposit of $200 is nonrefundable.

The program has limited space (usually12 participants). To register, please send your deposit of $200 to Francine Pinto 1600 N. Oak Street Arlington, Va. 22209. For further information or for questions please either call me at 703-841-1517 or contact me at fpinto@bellatlantic.net.

This program is open to those who are new to Voice Dialogue as well as those of you that have been using this work over time. If you have previously been in my programs, you will have the opportunity to deepen and further your own process at your own pace. As many of you know, working with the primary selves is foundational. All of us that are committed to our growth will always need to continue to work with these very important selves.

I appreciate the opportunity to partner with you in this exciting journey. I look forward to being with those of you that are drawn to this work. Please feel free to send this e-mail to others that may be interested in this work.

Warmly,
Francine
