Mark A. Frautschi, Ph.D.
biographical sketch
Mark Frautschi's consulting practice is focused on bridging the technical and business cultures within organizations. His clients include government, non-profit, and private enterprises. He has given presentations and interviews on issues of strategy where technical and human issues interplay. This led to his work establishing online communities of practice. He brings a high level of strategy to teams and organizations through participatory scenario development, scenario-based strategic design, diversity management, and executive coaching. He consulted with governments, private and non-profit clients on Year-2000 issues. Dr. Frautschi is an experimental elementary particle physicist by training, having received his Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in 1992. He has held research scientist positions at The University of New Mexico, Texas Tech University and The Johns Hopkins University. He is one of the discoverers of the top quark. His work at National Laboratories worldwide led him to bridging the gap between the human and technical sides of organizations--work that is now his professional focus--in knowledge management, bridging the Digital Divide, and building public-private partnerships for sustainable, citizen-centered electronic government, all architected with interoperable reusable components based on open standards. He lives in Rockville, MD. |
