As we get ready to end this year, I look back and am hopeful that 2008 with be better. I am hoping that all the
bad things that happened in my family will be left behind us as the year changes. I am hoping to get Alexis into a new
daycare that is closer to our house and that financially it will be the same if not cheeper and that Alexis will like it as
much. She continues to develope so much every day and is becoming such a young lady. She has a very strong personality
and I keep hearing that 3 is worse than 2 - I'm hoping that 2 is her worst time because otherwise I don't want to see what
3 is going to be like.
Christmas was good and basically all for Alexis. Fred and I got a few things and one thing I wanted to do was for
us to be able to go out on a date. My parents got us a gift certificate for Chilis and Fred's parents got us a gift
certificate for Outback Steakhouse. I bought us a gift certificate to Chunky's which is a movie theater and lots of
fun. So, my parent will be spending the night tomorrow to watch Alexis so we can go out for dinner and then go see the
movie "I am Legend". When we get home we will stay up with my parents, snack on some food and ring in the new year.
I'm hoping Fred will give me a BIG KISS to bring in the new year. I will update this after the new year and let you
know how everything went.
Happy New Year to you and I hope the new year brings joy to you all.
Well, I had my first massage this Saturday at the new spa that I am at. It was only a 30 minute massage but it
was nice to finally see where things are and kind of get trained on how to do things. I am suppose to have one on Tuesday
and Thursday this week as well, which is good with Christmas coming. We also had an open house on Saturday and I don't
think we had anyone show up for it.
Sunday brought another Patriot's win, this time over the Steelers - sorry Vissers! We also set up our Christmas
tree and Alexis helped to put on the decorations. She loved helping to decorate and if she had her way, all the decorations
would be on one branch. She loves looking at Christmas lights and looks forward to them ever time she is in the car
and gets upset if it is daytime and lights aren't on. She is going to be so much fun this year at Christmas. My
parents are going to be spending the night again this year so we can celebrate Christmas in the morning all together and then
head over to be with Fred's family in the afternoon. Alexis is going to go crazy Christmas morning with the presents
and so forth - I can't wait.
Fred and I are doing well, one day at a time is the way I look at it. We are starting to have more good days than
bad days and I am really trying to be patient and communicate more with him. I'm hoping all that happened will be a
bad memory that he will think back on and say "What the hell was I thinking???!!!" That's what I hope and I hope the
new year brings better times for us, I would like to leave this year in the past. Well, that's it for now. Enjoy
the cold weather and stay safe.
