No more sign!
Well, it is official - our house if off the market.  Monday our listing was cancelled and I received 2 calls on Monday, one on Tuesday and a mailer on Wednesday, all from realtors trying to get our business.  They are like vultures!  Yesterday when I got home I realized that the sign was removed from the front of our house.  It was nice to see it gone.  Would I like to have sold it, yes but it's also nice to stay here.  I like the area we are in, Alexis can play in the yard and not have to worry about a ton of traffic on our street.  This was going to be the home we retired to, maybe it still will be.

Are things turning around?
Well, we had a wonderful Easter and the Easter bunny made Alexis very happy this year.  She was all excited because she got a Cinderella doll, princess coloring book, bubbles and SpongeBob Squarepants bubble bath.  Her grandparents also picked her up a princess scooter which she had Bapa push her around the house on.  She loved the egg hunt and enjoyed the pennies that I put in most of them.  She didn't want any of the eggs with candy in them, just the money which she then put in her piggy bank (too cute).

Fred and I talked last night and agreed that we will be taking our house off the market and try to stay there and hopefully be able to refinance to a lower rate and save some money.  I talked to our realtor and he said he will take it off today when he gets to work and will forward me a name of someone he uses for refinancing.

Fred made me very happy this weekend, he wore his wedding ring on Saturday when we went to Dave's mother's house to celebrate Liam's 5th birthday and then Sunday when we went to church.  He helped me get Easter dinner ready by peeling the veggies and checking on the ham - it made me feel like we were a family and working together again.  It was nice.  I will be adding pictured from Easter up shortly.

Changes are coming
I've been waiting to post anything until I knew what was happening.  Fred interviewed last Friday at Wakefield Thermal Solutions and they called him back that evening to come back in on Monday for a meet and greet with the owner.  Things went well and they offered him the job but there were issues with the offer letter, not including what was discussed on Monday.  Things finally got smoothed out and Fred accepted the offer letter on Thursday and gave his notice yesterday at Maptech.  He will be starting his new job on Monday 3/31 and it is 1st shift.  I am very excited for this change and he is miserable because he doesn't want to go through training and rebuilding a warehouse again.  His commute will go from 45 miles & 50 minutes to 8 miles and 15 minutes.  He will have to put in longer days and will have to work a couple Saturdays a month but that means I can now quit working 2 jobs.  I really love the spa but I hated having to go in some nights after a long day at work at the shop.

I continue to ask for your prayers as we make this transition and that it goes smoothly.  Hopefully with this new job we may be able to keep the house and if rates continue downward, we can refinance and lower our payments.  Things could be going the right way for us for once!  Thanks for reading and keep checking in.  I know Easter is coming which means new pictures.

On Monday 3/17 will be 8 years since Fred proposed - can you believe it.  My parents are coming over today to watch Alexis because Fred has to go to work for a few hours and I have a massage.  Then Fred and I will be either going for lunch and a movie or a movie and dinner.  It all depends on when he gets done at Maptech.  We are suppose to be going to see 10,000 BC.  I will let you all know how it is.

How funny
Years back Fred worked for a very short time at a company called National Northeast.  The owner was horrible and I guess sold the business back in 2001.  Since Fred is looking for work, he told me he had applied for a 2nd shift packing and shipping managers position at Wakefield thermal solutions in Pelham, NH.  Well, that is the company that use to be National Northeast and that was pretty much the job he use to have, just during the day.

He applied to the job on Monster and I also sent an email to the "hr" email link that was listed and attached his cover letter and resume.  His cover letter explains the recent 3 jobs in the past 2 years because of lay offs and that his current company is now going to be shutting their doors in a year (unless it gets bought out).  Well, Friday afternoon I called the house to check for messages and a woman from Wakefield and was calling about the position and setting up an interview.  I instantly called Fred and he tried to call her but got voicemail.  Maybe he will be able to get in contact with her on Monday, I am dying to find out what will happen.  This would be good - maybe even be able to keep the house but the bad thing is that it is 2nd shift.  Fred could keep Alexis home longer in the morning and maybe we could just have her in daycare part time, which will also save us money.  I am also on a rate watch email list to keep an eye on rates for refinancing, which that could also help us financially if the rates get down low enough to make it worth the money.

Well, that is all I know for now.  I will update my blog when I find out more.  This could be the answer to my prayers - we will have to wait and see.  Please continue to pray for us, I do appreciate it.
