Well, Alexis' school had a reptile exhibit at her school on Friday and she told me she saw a snake pop it's head 2 times
out of the box, she saw a turtle and an alligator. She can now tell me the street she lives on along with the town and
state - it's so cute to hear her say it. Grandma and Bapa will be coming over tomorrow and we are going to set up our
webcam (grandparents have one as well) so we can chat online rather than the phone. I will also be able to capture video
of Alexis and post it on my Facebook page which will be neat. Alexis has requested having Chicken wings tomorrow for
dinner and I am also going to make homemade mac and cheese. Comfort foods at their best!
Alexis is coming home with all sorts of new phrases like "are you kidding me", "that's weird" and "that's cool" to name
a few. We are trying to get the word stupid out of her vocabulary when referring to someone she is mad at like say "stupid
mommy". That didn't go over well with me! Well, that's it for me right now. Alexis is using her colored
pencils and coloring and soon it will be time to get her up and ready for bed. Have a great night and stay warm!
That was exhausting! I deleted out a lot of old pictures and uploaded new ones and then added them to my webpages.
That was a ton of work and I need to make sure I keep up with this now.
Christmas was great, Alexis got everything she wanted - Santa was very good to her this year. She got a black bear
hamster which we named "Bear" and she loves him and is great with him. She says she is a rock star and always wants
to hear faster songs and rocks out in her carseat on the way to school. Grandma & Bapa bought us a webcam so we
can connect with them (I still have to install it). Alexis always tries to show them things when on the phone with them
so this will be great - once it's working.
We took our house off the market at the start of the new year. We want to try to refinance but have to be off the
market for 90 days in order to do so. Everyone that saw our house loved it but hated our neighborhood. Hopefully
we can make this work and stay here as a family. One day at a time - right?!
Well, time to color with Alexis and then get her upstairs and ready for bed. Then quiet time for mommy (until daddy
gets home from work). Enjoy the playoffs tomorrow - I know my cousins will be cheering for the Steelers!
