They grew up so fast!
Well, Alexis' school had a reptile exhibit at her school on Friday and she told me she saw a snake pop it's head 2 times out of the box, she saw a turtle and an alligator.  She can now tell me the street she lives on along with the town and state - it's so cute to hear her say it.  Grandma and Bapa will be coming over tomorrow and we are going to set up our webcam (grandparents have one as well) so we can chat online rather than the phone.  I will also be able to capture video of Alexis and post it on my Facebook page which will be neat.  Alexis has requested having Chicken wings tomorrow for dinner and I am also going to make homemade mac and cheese.  Comfort foods at their best!

Alexis is coming home with all sorts of new phrases like "are you kidding me", "that's weird" and "that's cool" to name a few.  We are trying to get the word stupid out of her vocabulary when referring to someone she is mad at like say "stupid mommy".  That didn't go over well with me!  Well, that's it for me right now.  Alexis is using her colored pencils and coloring and soon it will be time to get her up and ready for bed.  Have a great night and stay warm!

Whew!
That was exhausting!  I deleted out a lot of old pictures and uploaded new ones and then added them to my webpages.  That was a ton of work and I need to make sure I keep up with this now.

Christmas was great, Alexis got everything she wanted - Santa was very good to her this year.  She got a black bear hamster which we named "Bear" and she loves him and is great with him.  She says she is a rock star and always wants to hear faster songs and rocks out in her carseat on the way to school.  Grandma & Bapa bought us a webcam so we can connect with them (I still have to install it).  Alexis always tries to show them things when on the phone with them so this will be great - once it's working.

We took our house off the market at the start of the new year.  We want to try to refinance but have to be off the market for 90 days in order to do so.  Everyone that saw our house loved it but hated our neighborhood.  Hopefully we can make this work and stay here as a family.  One day at a time - right?!

Well, time to color with Alexis and then get her upstairs and ready for bed.  Then quiet time for mommy (until daddy gets home from work).  Enjoy the playoffs tomorrow - I know my cousins will be cheering for the Steelers!

Cold weather and warm hearts
We have just experienced a very cold ice storm that has left many people without power.  We lost our power on Friday and got it back on late Saturday afternoon.  Alexis is enjoying every aspect of the holidays and has been such a big help with getting ready for Christmas.

We still have our house on the market and now that interest rates have lowered, we are having people looking at our property again.  Who knows what will happen with that.  Fred is working a part time job to help us meet ends with the holiday and everything.  I had surgery on 11/21 for endodemetriosis and had to have my right ovary removed and my doctor said that it looked pretty bad in there, my left tube was damaged and most likely I wouldn't have been able to get pregnant again.  Alexis is our little miracle (not so little any more since she weighs almost 40 pounds).

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted anything on here.  Sometimes when you have nothing happy or good to write, you don't want to write anything.  Fred and I are still struggling to fix this marriage and with all that I have gone through, I sometimes wonder if I will be able to get over all of his lies and be able to trust him again.  Only time will tell.

I still love my job at the maching shop and I am feeling like I am more apart of the family there which is nice.  I miss massaging but it's too much to do along with working full time.  Fred is working at Konika Minolta in Wilmington but he is always looking for somthing that pays better and is closer to home.

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday surrounded by the ones you love and that love you.  I promise I will update this more and I will definitely update the pictures on here after the holidays.  Keep warm and keep in touch!

Troubles sleeping
Well, this week has brought new challenges our way.  Alexis all of a sudden does don't want to go to sleep, cries and says she is scared.  The only thing that works is sitting in the room until she falls asleep.  She has never slept with us, even as a baby, and now she is asking to sleep in our bed.  She has woken up the past few nights after 2 AM, crying and running into our room.  We have let her in our bed so we can all sleep a little more.  Not something I really want to do but at 2:20 in the morning, being woken up, I really didn't want to get out of bed.

I took Alexis with me to the grocery store to pick up food and order her cake.  I let her pick out the design and she wanted Princess Ariel, not the other princesses.  I ordered some decorations for her party and they should be arriving here on Tuesday.  Friday I get to start the process of getting some of the food ready and then Saturday will be running back to the store to pick up everything and get ready.  I can't wait for her party, she is going to have a great time!  Then on the 13th we have her school musical to attend - that will be fun.  Then me being such a great mother, I set up her 3 year check up for that afternoon at 1:30.  I wonder if she will be getting any shots?  Grandma will be there so that will help!

Upgraded!
Well, we were upgraded to FiOS on Saturday and it went well.  The only thing I just found was that my extra web space for $5/month wasn't added like it was suppose to be so I had to just do it.  I know I wasn't using all my allocated space!  I had fun with my mom on Friday at the outlets in Tilton, NH and of course basically spent everything on Alexis for her birthday.  It's hard to believe that in 9 days she will be 3 years old!!!!  Time really does fly by.  I am hearing back from people about Alexis birthday, which is nice.  I think almost everyone will be attending except for Dave and his family because his Saturday classes wont be finished yet.  We will miss seeing the boys and I know Alexis will miss playing with them (she is kind of boy crazy already - I'm in trouble).  Well, that is all I really have time for right now.  I have to go wake the princess up and get her ready for school.  This is the latest she has slept in weeks (I wish she had done this over the weekend though).
