We are dedicated to helping your child or
teen master effective social skills in school, home, and among friends.
We first assess each child's individual
cognitive, adaptive behavioral, learning, and social skill strengths. You and your child will receive complete
feedback regarding what concerns are found and goals which can be accomplished. We'll also provide referrals to allied
professionals in education, nutrition, speech and language, medicine, art, physical training, and religion.
From the assessment, we'll select goals
to be reached and ways to measure our progress. Our treatment plan will not only focus on problem areas; it will focus
on your child's strengths.
Our collaboration will yield the best
treatment outcome.
Children actively participate in a
graduated process of social skill acquisition. We utilize individual, peer dyads (pairs), groups, and family experiences -
based upon your child's unique strengths and needs.
Parents and families of younger children are
asked to participate throughout the entire process. Older children and adolescents work individually, in
peer dyads and groups, and provided with opportunities to teach peers and their parents what they have learned.
