History:
Glen Donley achieved through his efforts becoming the 2nd Indiana State Chess Champion in 1943 and the Presidency of the Indiana State Chess Association from 1942 to 1956. During that period of time The Indiana State Chess Championships were held in Logansport where Glen resided throughout his life. Born on April 8, 1901 and Died on Feb. 26,1993, is honored by naming the Logansport Chess Club after him and Glen Donley will always be an inspiration to us. He had three daughters Mary Margret Leslie, Patricia Miller, and Barbra Hiatt. Glen devoted his life to teaching and playing chess.
