Here at Risen Son it is all about the horses. Whether a poor rescue horse or born here, all the horses see a blacksmith and dentist regulary, along with yearly shots and strick worming scheldules.All our foals are imprinted at birth and handled daily. They tie, lead, clip and have their mouth and feet handled. So by the time they are 8 weeks old, they handle better and are more pleasant to be around then most broke horses at 8 years old. Our lesson horses were mostly raised here and stand at the gates waiting to be picked for a lesson or just a good grooming with treats.
Our goal is to raise good sound foundation horses for reining, cutting, barrels and quiet trail horses. Horses that have the intelligence to learn and remember with a temperament that is alert, without nervousness, strong, agile and compact.
