When you feel lost and at
sea
Find yourself with the Pastoral Care
Team
Just as the bench in our Memorial Garden offers a
quiet respite from the concerns of the day, so too, does
our Pastoral Care Team bring the comforting presence of
Christ to us in our times of transition. Whether it be a
hand to hold or a much needed prayer, this trained team of
parishioners will come and be that quiet confidence. Each
of us on the Team has experienced the grace of another's
prayerful presence and we are here to offer it to others.
We all have those times when we feel lost. Find yourself
with the Pastoral Care Team.
Who might need a visit?
Someone like Adam, who felt cut off from the
world.
Someone like Sarah, who was facing a
pregnancy late in life.
Someone like Peter who found himself in
over his head.
Someone like Mary who was worried about
her son.
Someone like Paul who had a crisis of
faith.
Even Jesus needed someone to minister to
him when he was tired, grieving and lonely.
If you have recently moved, lost your job,
have a new one, have hard decisions to make or just need a
friendly presence, you might be one who would benefit from
the program.
How does it work?
If you think you might like a visit, simply let
the Rector know. She will contact a member of the team who
will make arrangements to spend some time with you. It's
that easy! The visits are completely confidential.
What happens at the monthly
meetings?
The Team meets to discuss spirituality, for
training, and to consider ways to promote and improve the
program.
