NOAA NowCoast Website
NOAA has a new GIS based website for information that is useful to paddlers:  radar weather, water temp, wave height, buoy/gauge readings, predictions and forecasts.  Remember to allow pop ups.

Looks pretty interesting, and has access to a number of measuring stations that I previously didn't know had public access to the data.

The yearly SK102 skills training weekend by the Chesapeake Paddlers Association was held this weekend.  90 some students, 30 some instructors, and 85 degree F water at Lake Anna.  JP and I did instruction - greenland paddling, rolling, strokes, kayak design, rules of the road, and kayak gear.  Photos here.
