A very inexpensive 35mm camera that is waterproof and takes decent photos.

I saw this camera first in a Sea Kayaker new gear listing.  I figured for the price of the camera I wouldn't be out much if it didn't work out.  My wife and I have been using two of them for about a year now, and have been impressed.

The camera is basically a cheap 35mm box camera that is fitted inside a waterproof housing.  it has a built in 24mm lense.  Snap Sights says the housing is good to 25 feet underwater.  I have found no leaks or condensation issues, and the O ring seal appears sturdy to date.

It also floats, which is a good feature for kayaking gear.  The one drawback is that it is possible to scratch the lense area of the case, but that takes some work to do.  This camera has lived on my deck, in my day hatch, and in the wet kayak gear box for months with no issues.

Prices range from $15-19 dollars, so shop around a bit.

The company makes several other similiar cameras.
