“Colonel O’Neill, I assume you have a good explanation for this,” General Hammond said.

Jack nodded. “Of course,” he said. “Teal’c going to relocate the Jaffa to the free Jaffa nation to help them adjust.”

“Why…?” the general began.

“After their previous god was killed they sorta snuck off during the fighting,” Daniel said. “They were tired of all the deaths and not having families.”

“Understandable, but…” Hammond started.

“The planet was of no interest to the goa’uld since it didn’t have any useful resources,” Sam added. “It was unlikely that any of the system lords since it was of no strategic value.”

“I see, however….” Hammond started.

“We couldn’t just leave them there,” Jack said. “Just in case…”

“May I finish a sentence here, people?” Hammond said in a hard voice.

Three ‘yes, sirs’ followed.

“Why is there a dog on your lap?” General Hammond asked.

“Oh!” Jack said. “Sorry. I forgot. This is the goa’uld they were serving.”

“What?”

“Allow me to introduce you to Lord Danae,” Jack said.

The little yorkie yipped in response, her stubby tail thumping against Jack’s chest as she put her front paws on the table.

Then her eyes glowed.
