This bcpcnet-modcast is an excellent view and information on a real phisher email targeted as a credit card account rip-off scam that is so common these days. This is a typical unfortunate event that has costed over 3 billion dollars in e-thefts for just Americans alone in this past year 2007. As Webmaster and Modcaster I mentioned that I would post as much information and tutorials as I could (and also to our groups/lists) for this new year - 2008. This is a VERY good example - a VERY real one - of a VERY real phisher email with a lot of good information about how to treat these and of course a REAL look at a real one in progress. The stats as mentioned for year 2007 in the USA were over 3 billion dolars ripped off in this exact UCE (Unsolicited Commercial Email) email presented here. Look familiar ? I am very sorry that it would be then - but absolutely PLAY THIS to see how to examine these with VERY good information of how to detect them as fake emails and attempted theft of your accounts and where to report them in the very least as a "suspected phisher email" if you were not sure.   105M (.wmv)
