Religion:

Learn how Jesus's power to forgive and heal comes from God?

Learn about compassion and mercy. Read stories from Scripture that are about Jesus healing.

Reading:

Story- Penguin Chick Vocabulary skill is word structure- synonyms Children use what they know to help find meaning of words. Comprehension skill focuses on Main Idea and Details. Test on Wednesday, November 11th.

Language:

Grammar- finishing Commands and Exclamations. Following with subjects and predicates. Write a summary about Penguin Chicks Test on Subjects and Predicates on Tuesday, November 10th. Continuing with review for Unit Test.

Spelling:

Children learn rules for spelling words with first syllables with long vowel sounds and short vowel sounds. How to seperate them into syllables. Test Thursday, November 12th.

Math grade 3:

Children are learning how to measure objects to the nearest inch. Children measure objects in the classroom and on paper. Also make generalizations about objects and situations. Review for test on Topic 10 on Thursday and test on Friday, November, 13.

Phonics:

Finding words with short a and i phonograms

Science:

vertebrates and invertebrates.

common characteristics of both. Children will make tables charting traits of each vertebrate and each invertebrate.

Science Lab. Children have been observing seeds (pinto bean seeds, corn seeds, radish seeds and sunflower seeds) to see when the first will germinate.

Handwriting:

Write Manuscript lower case and upper case letters J, G, Q U S B and P.

Math grade 4:

Adding and Subtracting whole numbers to hundred thousands with and without regrouping. Subtraction of number with zeros to thousands. Also using pictures and diagrams to translate everyday situations into a number sentence or equation. In Math Lab- Children will work in groups to answer word problems.
