My goal is to capture the spirit of a landscape
rather than a photographic representation.
The paintings are an exploration of the
colors of nature, the depths of space,
the undulating shapes of earth,
and varying effects of dark and light.
They become the indeterminate landscape
yet contain the essence of a particular place.
