HIGH AR

The Traction and Buggy Technology Page

"...Thus my quest was born...to expand traction kiting, and explore the possibilities. Traction kiting is unique amoung hobbies, primarily because it is so new. It is possible for a hobbly level builder to compete with, and perhaps surpass commercially available designs. In part, this is what draws me to this hobby...the feeling of being on the cutting edge. The generous technical information provided over the internet by such people as Andrew Beattie, Emiel Stroeve, Henry Kulk, and countless others on rec.kites advanced my kite making immeasurably. This made me realize how powefull this medium is, and what it can do for this hobby. As a result, I put up High AR to share what I have learned, in hopes that those who use this information will return their experiences to the collective pool, and cut the edge a little further."

I owe special thanks to Terence Kearney (Tel, on rec.kites), Diego (sorry, don’t have his real name), Henry Kulk, and Oliver Remaud. When I moved from New York to Austin Texas, the moving company ‘lost’ my computers (and backups – which were in the same boxes) that had the HTML for High AR. It was a sad day for me to announce on rec.kites that High AR was gone forever. Within a few days, I began to receive emails with portions of the page attached. At least I had the technical information. Then one day, out of the blue, four emails arrive from Oliver Remaud with the ENTIRE site attached! Thanks again guys!
