History
A gift from Christ Church, the window was brought from the center of town and installed at Good Shepherd in 1925. The Angel Window was created in the late 1800’s to honor Lucy Ann Crocker (1827-1872). The window which faces Westminster Street is in decline and without repair will someday fall out. The outer protective window installed in 1925 actually creates a greenhouse effect and is destroying the material that holds the window together.
Restoration
The window needs complete restoration which involves removing the window to
the stain glass studio, taking it apart, cleaning all of the pieces, reassembling
it and replacing the outer window with a properly ventilated protective window.
Gifts
The estimate for restoration is $18,000. As of this posting we have received
