"Spring Comes to the High Country" was one of the first Western-themed paintings I did using paper as the dimensional element. Paper is a wonderful underutilized medium. It's so versatile and can create great drama. Dimensional paintings change thoughout the day as light filters through a room creating interesting shadow effects from the dimensional elements.
