In October
LtCol Gravin was reassigned, being
replaced by Major Carl Satesl. Maj Carl Satesl was relieved in October 1952 being replaced by Major Charles Monsell.
By February
The station had logged 5,000 hours of operation and the CPS-6B was due for an overhaul. This was not accomplished until June, when crews from General Electric come to the station and work on
the set.
During this year, Air National Guard personnel from the 125th AC&W Squadron at Ethan Allen
AFB and Canadian AC&W personnel visited the site on familiarization tours.
In May, baseball and softball teams were started. The
softball team was part of the St Albans City League. Weekly swimming parties
were held during the year, through courtesy of the Burlington USO. A weekly golf
tournament was also started, using the facilities of the Champlain Country Club.
