Charlie Hoffman's ice cream stand stood on the south-east corner of Milan Road and Scott Street. This picture was taken on November 12, 1973. Charlie built and installed the first refridgeration unit in Sandusky. He installed the zinc cigar store figure of Puck on the roof. Puck is holding a long pen in his right hand, but the tip of the pen is missing. His left hand holds a bundle of cigars (which at one time had a gas jet for lighting cigars) in which Charlie installed a light fixture.
The ice cream stand no longer exists. The site is now a parking lot. The cigar store figure of Puck is in the Follett house museum.
