Lucilla was the wife of co-emperor Lucius Verus, daughter of Marcus Aurelius, and sister of Commodus. In A.D 182 she was exiled and eventually executed for plotting against Commodus. Evidently she knew something that Marcus Aurelius didn’t. Would that she had succeeded. Then again, if she had, the movie Gladiator would never have been made.
