Faustina, Sr. was the wife of Antoninus Pius and the mother-in-law of Marcus Aurelius (and also his mother, technically, since Antoninus Pius adopted him). She shared the throne with her husband. His devotion to her was so great that he minted coins in her honor for many years after her death.
