Getting to King's Chapel

King's Chapel is at 58 Tremont Street in Boston. This is the intersection of Tremont, School & Beacon Streets, midway between the Government Center and Park Street subway stations.

By subway (recommended)

From a location in the metro Boston area, you take the "T" (MBTA subway, elevated, and light rail system). Tokens have recently increased in price to the lordly sum of $1.00 each; additional fares may be required for outlying stations.

By regional commuter rail or Amtrak

From outside of Boston, MBTA Commuter Rail lines (real trains) and Amtrak take visitors either to NORTH STATION (connect to GREEN LINE subway trains to Park Street) or to SOUTH STATION (connect to RED LINE subway trains to Park Street).

By car

Parking in downtown Boston is always messy and always expensive! If you MUST drive into town, the recommended option is the UnderGround Garage, accessible off Charles Street from Boylston (both one-ways, please look at a map!). Cost for parking for the day is probably $18. Cost for parking in other downtown garages may be as high as $30!!

Parking on the street: LOOK AT SIGNS CAREFULLY! and put money in the meter. Boston's Meter Maids are notoriously vigorous at ticketing!

Parking may be available at these MBTA stations (but the lots can fill up early at some stations):

If you are driving into downtown Boston, you may want to study this map, which shows the one-way streets in the neighborhood of King's Chapel. [Map: One-way street markings near King's Chapel]
