Repertoire list
*********************************************************************** IMPORTANT CHANGE!! PLEASE NOTE THE REVISED TIME. In order to allow more time for singing, we will start start singing at 11 am instead of the regular Tuesday Noon Concert time of 12:15 pm. The public is invited to come either a the earlier hour or at the regular time. There will be one or two short special performances during the regular noon hour time period, but most of the time will be devoted to singing by all present who wish to join in. *********************************************************************** William Billings' 250th Birthday will also be celebrated on Tuesday, October 8, 1996 with a public open sing of many of his beautiful anthems and fuging tunes which appear in Sacred Harp, Continental Harmony, and other American tunebooks. Come and join many friends of shape-note tunes at 11 am on October 8 at historic King's Chapel, located at the corner of Tremont and School Streets, only a few minutes' walk from the Park Street MBTA station. Visitors from around the U.S. as well as a group of West Gallery and Sacred Harp singers from England will be there to continue what will no doubt be Boston's longest Sacred Harp singing convention. Raise your voice with theirs in praise of Boston's best-known Colonial tunesmith. Admission free; the public is invited to attend. For further information, please call the King's Chapel Parish House, 617/227-2155, or e-mail Sheila Beardslee Bosworth, sheilab@tiac.net
