To Whippany Road Church of Christ (We sang here at the second Unconventional Sunday, May 17, 1998)

270 Whippany Road, Whippany.

Geographically, Whippany is adjacent to Morristown, NJ. Whippany is part of Hanover Township close to I-80 and I-287, and as well as New Jersey Routes 24 and 10.

From the Holiday Inn on Route 46: Take Route 46 West to I-80, noting that the exit for I-80 involves a very tricky spaghetti junction, which you must navigate as follows: Get into the center lanes of Route 46, which are marked as the lanes for I-80. You will exit right and then you must IMMEDIATELY take a poorly marked ramp to the left. If you miss this ramp you will end up on Route 23 North along with the traffic in the lane to your right, and when you finally manage to turn around and get back to the spaghetti junction you will find that apparently your only choices are I-80 East or 46 West, neither of which you want.

Once you are successfully on I-80 WESTBOUND, follow directions under number 1, below.

From elsewhere, depending on which highway you are closest to, choose one of the following routes:

  1. From I-80 East or West, at Exit 43 take I-287 South to Exit 39A (10 East--Whippany). Exit to Route 10 East and move to the center lane. At the 3rd light (Shell station), take a right on Whippany Road. Proceed through 5 lights to the property located on the right hand side. (If you pass an Exxon station on the left as you are about to cross under Route 24, you've gone too far.)
  2. From I-287 North take Exit 36A (510 East--Morris Avenue) and move to the center lane. Eventually bear to the left and follow the sign 511--Whippany through 3 lights (You will go under Route 24 and past an Exxon station.) Property will be located on the left hand side.
  3. From Route 24 West, take Exit 1-B (511--North Hanover). You can only go right so proceed past the Exxon station through 1 light and the property will be located on the left-hand side.
