July 24th, 2005. Greg (Kawasaki Vulcan 750), Jeff (Honda Sabre), Pat (Guzzi). Nice backroads and weather. We even got an 1 1/2 personal tour.

The sub was:

Built in the 60's.

Diesel powered.

Torpedos fore and aft.

Could deliver nuclear missiles while surfaced.

Loitered off the East coast of the USA.

The nuclear launch tubes. The sub had to surface and stay surfaced until the missle struck its target. The red area is the blast deflector.
