The Emergency Squad was formed in 1956 by a few members of the Hainesport Fire Company. The Squad members, utilizing
their own funds, purchased the first ambulance the squad used.

The Emergency Squad is an ALL VOLUNTEER Organization and answers approximately 500 to
600 calls for service yearly. The Emergency Squad is assisted by the Paramedic Units from Virtua
Hospitals and are dispatched to render assistance to the Squad when requested or needed.
