Plumb Street, as it was sometimes spelled back then, was a street in Southwark, running from 2nd to 5th Streets, just south of Bainbridge Street, at about the same level as Coxe's Alley.
It was not covered by Francis White, and so the only listings would be those of John MacPherson in 1785 and Clement Biddle in 1791.

This number is clearly a mistake, but of what nature? Was she a relative of John
McKenzie of #274 (1785 numbering)? The 1793 directory shows only one female McKenzie, the
Mary McKenzie who also in 1791 lived at the corner of 2nd and Union. The only decent prospect
for clearing this up is the 1790 census.
