Tammany Street

Tammany Street was a small street in the Northern Liberties. In the 18th century it ran from 2nd to 3rd Street, just south of Green Street, and may still exist in that industrial zone, though undoubtedly the houses are gone. It was not covered by Francis White, and so the only listings would be those of John MacPherson. If he covered it, he called it something else, and so the listings for that street will await the discovery of that name. Clement Biddle did include the listings for it (below), but did not number them. There is also one listing for a St. Tammany Street which is probably the same street.
