Running Cat5/Coaxial Cable Wires
| Most homes do not have television wire (coaxial cable wire) ran to all the rooms. This can prevent a problem if you want to watch television in that room. Wire must be run from the existing wiring and a splitter needs to be added to allow wire to be run to that room. Also, most homes have an internet connection to gain access to the internet. Many people rely on a wireless connection, but I recommend that the house be hardwired to allow for the fastest connection. A hard wired connection also ensures that the connection cannot be stolen and no one will be able to access your network as can be the case with a wireless connection. | |
| See the photo below of a house that has been hardwired for their internet connection. | |

| Coaxial cable for Comcast has been run to the modem. Also, telephone wire has been run to the modem as the client now has a DSL connection. The wires below run from the router to all the rooms in the home for a secure hardwired connection. | |
