How to Create a Very Nice "Administrator's Toolkit" - Step 2: DOS/Windows Boot Disks
1. Under the IMAGES folder, create 5 folders called BOOT, HDUTIL, SOFT, USB and UTIL.
2. In the BOOT folder place zipped* images
of Windows/DOS Boot floppies labeled so:
CDROM.ZIP - For Bart's CD-ROM
Boot Disk
MSNET.ZIP
- For Bart's Network Boot Disk
BOOTDOS.ZIP - For MS-DOS 6.22 Boot Disk
BOOT95A.ZIP - For Windows 95/A Boot Disk
BOOT95B.ZIP - For Windows 95B/C Boot Disk
BOOT98.ZIP
- For Windows 98 Boot Disk
BOOT98SE.ZIP - For Windows 98SE Boot Disk
BOOTME.IMG
- For Windows ME Boot Disk
* Note that the Windows ME Boot Disk must not be
zipped because memdisk can't load it correctly.
3. In the USB folder place zipped images
of the MediaLogic/Datopic and
IoMega USB Boot Floppies labeled so:
IOMEGA.ZIP
- For the IoMega USB Boot Disk
MLOGIC.ZIP
- For the MediaLogic/Datopic USB Boot Disk
4. For sanity's sake, I edited all floppies to add CD-ROM support and map the CD to drive letter R.
